Grand magical adventure! Grand, imaginative magical adventure a bit like a Scooby Doo episode with John Waters and Divine heading up the team. An homage to Baltimore too. Young man stumbles into this magical world and his life is forever changed. He makes friends and gains a new family. There is a cute dog, a talking car, and lots of other fun in this good vs. evil (or at least misguided) saga. I am eager for a sequel.

A great find! For me, Damian Hart's tale was all about discovery. Whether it's the lovable main character discovering his purpose in life or the eccentric supporting characters discovering a new way forward with their fresh hero, you'll love that fact that you've discovered this fantastic read. The author uses subtle tie-ins to the Baltimore area to really advance the story and make you feel like you live among the cemeteries, abandoned theme parks, and city blocks that make up the book's settings. Best of all, Mr. Hart includes references so you can continue the adventure by reading about the real (or at least semi-real) legends that help propel the adventure and leave you on the edge of your seat!

Brilliantly woven story! I definitely recommend this clever story filled with "Charm"ing Baltimore references. Realistic characters who deal with awkward relationships with honesty.

Enjoyable and fun read This was a fun read. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and found the story intriguing. If Matt and the Arcana have more adventures, I would read them for sure.

Good times! What a fun book! It's got a bit of romance, and just a touch of social commentary…but is mostly just a wild adventure story! I visit Baltimore every so often and was not aware of some of the interesting locations that are visited in this story. But I’ll be going to see them on my next trip! Grab this book then kick back for a light, clever, and wholly entertaining read.

Hold on tight! I enjoyed how the author took famous people, places, and things from around Baltimore and completely reimagined them to fit into the story. It isn’t difficult to read and it doesn’t get bogged down in details. He just hits a plot point, then moves on, expecting you to keep up! And you’d better keep up because scenery and events fly by left-and-right while you’re trying to catch your breath!

A really fun book. This was a really fun book. It has a little bit of romance…but in general is just a wild adventure. I love the descriptions of the different locations where this amazing story takes place. I’ll definitely be going looking forward for the next book! DO yourself a favor and read this book.

"I enjoyed it very much." In "Fool to the World: A Charmed City Adventure" Damian Hart creates a cute magical adventure. Basic good vs evil plot but delivered in a clever imaginative way as Matt discovers magic in Baltimore. There is a touch of romance and a talking car. It is a really fun quick read that I enjoyed very much.

This was quite an adventurous book. I think this book would have greatly improved if the premise was based on teenagers, the main character was a 21 plus, but truly it felt like I was reading a young adult book where the characters were teens not, not adults. This really bothered me throughout the story, it just wasn't believable to me having them as adults. It's not a bad story, it just really needs some fine tuning with editing. [Damian: I'll let her live. =*) ]

Well that was fun! From the middle of the first page, you are yanked into poor Matt’s adventure and the story is off and running! You’ve barely come to grips with one totally bizarre (yet oddly believable situation) when another is tossed at you, followed by more! It starts with a murdered birthday magician and next thing you know you’re in an abandoned amusement park, then in a possessed Hummer fleeing from a zombie invasion in a city that’s only one-third to scale! WHAT!?  Don’t ask me, but it makes perfect sense when you’re in the middle of it. I laughed out loud more than once. After reading some of the comments, I may re-read it to pick up on things I missed.

Read by Tamar A very good first time book with excellent though rapid advancement of the hero. A little slow in a few early places due to needful explanations. The final battle seemed hurried and too easily won, but showed excellent use of Matt's Charms. The story kept my interest, sometimes too long, and I stayed up way too late to finish a chapter. I'm looking forward to Damian's next book as he will improve his already good talents.

Recommended Received this book as a giveaway!! It was amazing from start to finish, had interesting characters and places. I would recommend his to anyone with a sense of adventure.

A Fun and Fast-Paced Story This was fun, fast-paced read! The story was clever and the characters charming. And as someone from the Baltimore area, I enjoyed all of the local references. I hope the author writes more books to follow this one!

A Fun and Fanciful Romp A fun and fanciful romp through the streets of Baltimore! Author Damian Hart is an able tour guide, and his debut novel should delight anyone who likes their battles between good and evil spiced with romance, a talking car, and two of B-town's most famous (and infamous) celebrities.

Five Stars An awesome and exciting read! I do hope there is a follow-on in the works!
